How to Record a Video, Audio, Camera, or Screen Online?

Pointa first allows you to record your screen and your camera/face simultaneously. Here are the steps:

1. Under the Media navigator, click on Screen & Camera.
2. Allow the permission of the camera and microphone.
3. Choose a Webcam or virtual Avatar and adjust webcam settings.
4. Click Start Screen Recording, and choose a tab page, a single window, or the whole screen to record.
5. When you finish recording, hover and click End recording from the upper-right corner. Or you can click Exit recording to reset and restart recording again.
6. After recording:
   • You can click points on the frame to zoom in on the video.
   • Customize the zoom effects via changing point color, adding background music, etc.
   • You can record another file from the Record tab of the left navigation bar.
   • What’s more, you can click the “+” button to upload another file to edit.
7. When all editions finish, click Export on the upper-right to download recorded and edited video.

2. Allow the permission of the camera, microphone, and audio. Here you can choose to turn off the microphone.
3. Click Start Camera Recording, your camera will be recorded with a padding style.
4. When you finish recording, hover and click End recording from the upper-right corner. Or you can click Exit recording to reset and restart recording again.
5. After recording, you can edit the recorded video from the left navigation bar:
   • Under the Canvas, you can adjust the size of the camera area, video speed, and background style.
   • Draw points directly on the video frame to zoom in and enlarge details.
   • Under the Audio, you can add background music.
   • Under Record, you can record another screen file.
6. When all editions finish, click Export on the upper-right to download recorded and edited video.

If you want to record a webcam or avatar on an existing image or PDF file, Pointa can make you easily record it.

1. Click the "+" button to upload an image or PDF file.
2. Tap on Record and choose Camera on Image/PDF.
3. Toggle on a webcam or initiate a virtual avatar.
4. Click Start Scene Recording.
5. When you finish recording, hover and click End recording from the upper-right corner. Or you can click Exit recording to reset and restart recording again.
6. After recording:
   • You can click points on the frame to zoom in on the video.
   • Customize the zoom effects via changing point color, adding background music, etc.
   • You can record another file from the Record tab of the left navigation bar.
   • What’s more, you can click the “+” button to upload another file to edit.
7. When all editions finish, click Export on the upper-right to download recorded and edited video.

After you create a recorded file, you can go to the Record tab from the left navigation bar and click to record audio only.

1. Click the Audio option and allow microphone permission.
2. Tap on the Start recording button, recording will start after three seconds. You can tap anywhere to cancel the recording.
3. You can hover to Restart recording, Pause recording, or End recording.
4. After the audio recording is finished：
   • You can add it to the Audio Material library and use it as background music next time.
   • You can add it to the timeline as a single track of the existing video.
5. When all editions finish, click Export on the upper-right to download recorded and edited video.
